Dr. Pedersen has been practicing Optometry in Edmonton since 2013. Dr. Pedersen is a proud Albertan – born in Medicine Hat and raised in Edmonton. Prior to optometry school he graduated from the University of Alberta with two degrees – a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Later, he attended Optometry school at the prestigious University of Waterloo. His internships included placements at Omni eye center in Baltimore, MD and at Polytechnic University in Hong Kong.
Dr. Pedersen is committed to providing high quality eye care. He will take the time to properly address patient’s concerns and explain their exam results in an easy to understand way.
Outside of work Dr. Pedersen is a father of two great kids. He enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Sha has been working in the optical field for over 10 years. Originally from China, Sha moved to Canada in 2002 to attend the University of Alberta – completing a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics. While her husband was attending optometry school in Waterloo, Sha completed the opticians’ program through NAIT.
Sha is experienced and always willing to listen and help. She takes pride in helping patients choose the perfect set of frames and explaining different lens options. Whether you require single vision, progressives, or a task-specific pair of glasses, Sha is committed to helping patients find a frame and lens that work best for their individual needs. Sha is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Outside of work Sha is a mother of two great kids. She enjoys watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
Daniel was born and raised in Edmonton and has always lived on the north side of the river. While in his early twenties, he attended the University of Alberta where he graduated with two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education (with distinction).
Daniel has been an optician since 1979. Throughout his career, he has owned his own optical, worked for small independent opticals and large chain stores, and has worked in a lab. He has had many articles published in Optical Prism magazine. He is also an instructor at NAIT, where he teaches the Optical Sciences program.
Outside of work, Daniel likes to hike and watch movies with his husband and spend time with his family and friends.
