Cutting Edge Technology.
At River City Eye Care, we combine technological advancement and clinical experience to enhance patient care and ensure our patients receive the best eye care available. Here are some of the diagnostic equipment we use at our clinic.
Nikon Optomap Ultra-Wide Field Imaging allows for imaging of 200 degrees of retina in a single shot, often without the need for dilating drops. This allows for early detection and monitoring of many eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal holes, tears, and detachments, ocular tumors, and more.

The OCT is a computerized imaging technique that uses non-harmful laser light to recreate high definition (HD) images of the optic nerve, angle architecture and retinal layers. This is key in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, macular edema due to diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and many other sight threatening conditions.

Visual Field testing is used to detect any abnormalities in peripheral and central vision. This test helps screen and monitor for conditions such as glaucoma, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurological and ocular conditions. The visual field test takes approximately 20 minutes and is a non-invasive technique to detect visual abnormalities. Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field testing is the standard of care for the management of several conditions including glaucoma, detection of brain tumors, strokes, plaquenil retinopathy, and more.
